Just came back from the Basement in Dublin (Dame Lane) where you can amazingly listen to some sweet Jazz sessions, bit commercial, but pretty neat in the fact that you can stay up till 3am no problems. Nice place, great atmosphere with international musicians. The tip of the night was that, few very well known musicians from Italy are performing Wednesday night at the Sugar club, free of charge! Not to be missed.
Sunday Morning kicked off late with a jazzy brunch at Hugo's, definitely the most sophisticated place I have been to in Dublin for brunch, a part from the Hilton in Powerscourt off course. This place has a bizarre, but I thought exquisite, decoration. Loved it! The jazz trio was also playing very soft/tasteful music. Hugo's is quite of an hidden place, it took me three years to discover it, hope it will take you less now.
