Last week-end turned out to be a long one. Started on Friday night at "Ciao Bella Roma" where we had an hen pizza party for Robby. We were only 4 but 3 bottles of wine were consumed and countless loud toasts "To the Bride!!!!!" were shared with the rest of the floor.
The day after, Kinga and I were off to the Taste Festival, in the beautiful surroundings of Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. Guess what, we had booked a wine tasting at O'Briens first thing in the morning:(
The place was a melting pot of cuisines from some of the best restaurants in Dublin. There was also the one of Gordon Ramsay at Powerscourt, which I had a chance to only see at the Ritz Carlton Hotel a while ago, veeery posh.
By the end of the day our stomachs were rejecting food and our livers were crying out for help. The festival though was worthwhile attending.
Then Monday evening arrived and a friend had free tickets for the concert of Iggy Pop, I said..."Iggy who?", sure I heard about him but wasn't him a rock/heavy metal singer from the 80s? I was curious to see him now, plus he was playing in the beautiful setting of the modern art museum , so why not?
PS. Iggy is still a legend. I was looking at him and couldn't help thinking .....this guy has the same age of my father, where does he take all the energies to shout and jump around the way he does! Let alone rhemautism! Here is a pick for you....
