NYE in Orvieto

I know it is kind of late to publish a post about NYE by the end of January, but better later than never? This year I finally experienced the Umbria Winter Jazz festival in Orvieto. I was surprised to discover that there was indeed a jazz festival over the NYE and as our plans for Cuba dissolved I gladly dragged few close friends and family to Umbria, one of the most beautiful regions in Italy. The atmosphere in the streets, theaters, auditoriums, pizzas and cafes was quite unique and joyful. Live music was all around us, from the church to restaurants and cafes. So many different venues used to deliver this sophisticated festival. Orvieto itself is a beautiful city set on hills with a sumptuous cathedral, worth a trip no matter how passionate you might be about jazz music. These between few of the artists we managed to see: Keisha Jackson $ the soul spinners, Bobby Jones & the Nashville Super Choir, Chip Wilson, Jimmy Villotti Pepper Band, Funk off the The Good Fellas and more.....here a small sample for your ears....
